Has it
already been a month since I posted on this blog? In the beginning of this I
had planned to post once a week. Well so much for that.
It has been
a wonderful first month of spring. Our youngest accepted Jesus as his personal
Lord and Savior. We celebrated
Resurrection Sunday and it was a beautiful day. My hubby and I celebrated 23
years of marriage.
How amazing
to share in the experience as someone prays the prayer of salvation. I always
tear up when we have a baptism in church. I did when our oldest was baptized
last Easter Sunday. Of course I did when our youngest prayed a sinner’s prayer.
Jesus you are amazing thank you for your indescribable gift of salvation.
for all have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God Romans 3:23
For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life. John 3:16
He is not here; he has risen, just as
he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Matthew 28:6
This Easter
Sunday was the first that I’ve been able to enjoy our church’s brunch in
several years. It was so nice to visit with other believers and see the
preschoolers enjoy our annual Bible verse egg hunt. We had our family egg hunt
at my MIL’s and bbq’d hot dogs and hamburgers. (In case you are wondering, no I
did not cave, I did not buy a new dress for Easter, I actually wore the same
thing as last year…shhh don’t tell).
WOW 23
years. I have been married most of my life. I am amazed each day and year of
the gift that the Lord gave me in my husband. We still love each other after
all these years. Take it from me…be specific when you pray about/for your
spouse if you have to write a list.
The LORD will guide you always; he
will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11.
Ask and
it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be
opened to you. Matthew 7:7
This month
we also celebrate 19 years in our house. It is amazing to me that we chose our
house before it was even built. Never having owned a house before we were not
sure exactly what we wanted. The ability to choose what we wanted in colors and
finishes helped us make our decision.
Hope your
spring is going well.
